The Nurse
I have created specialty teams of women who are BSN registered nurses, masters level social workers, teachers, pastors, pregnancy crisis advocates, transitional housing managers, women’s ministry leaders, and community leaders. We are connecting and helping women through my outreach ministry, The Lion’s Beauty Queens, Inc. We are helping underserved women who may be at high risk of human sex trafficking.
I am also currently working as an ultrasound nurse at Rachel House – Pregnancy Resource Center. As an ultrasound nurse I am able to give women options resources and alternatives to abortion. Education and confirming “life and a fetal heartbeat” can be a helpful first step for a mother to achieve information and gain insight and knowledge as to the future of her pregnancy and life goals.

The Author/Speaker
As a child Dana endured the death of a parent, father in prison, dysfunctional environment of alcoholism, drug addiction, poverty, abuse, neglect, and was sexually abused by the age of 8. At 17, she was trafficked into exotic dancing through a local tanning salon, lasting over 7 years in strip clubs. Her first marriage to a male stripper/drug dealer ended with him at the gates of a prison. In pain, struggling & single parenting, the “Glamorous Life” derailed, de-escalating to a rapid halt, rock bottom. In January 1994, she had a Divine Appointment, a Divine rescue and SURRENDERED it ALL to Jesus! Finally, married a youth Pastor, Rocky Candillo, of 18 years, graduated college, and Founded the Lion’s Beauty Queens, Inc., a ministry outreaching to women in the sex industry throughout Kansas City, MO, KS & California serving 22 strip clubs monthly! The Lion’s Beauty Queens Ministry is a Missouri Faith Based NonProfit 501c3 Organization. The mission of The Lion’s Beauty Queens is to reach, empower, and provide hope and restoration for women in the sex industry and at risk of human trafficking by offering authentic love, faith-based support and community resources. Our work and relentless efforts produce hope, reduce risk, and prevent crime in the scope of prevention of human sex trafficking across the communities of greater Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas, San Diego and Oceanside California.
The Missionary
I’ve been Licensed & ordained through World Harvest Church and am part of the WHC Ministerial Alliance, (Dr. Rod Parsley-Lead Pastor) in Columbus Ohio. I believe my Missionary calling is the work of my founded non-profit organization (LBQ…) and our name & brand has been USA patent & trademarked. You don’t have to go to a foreign country to do missionary work…. there are plenty of missions opportunities right here in our city, communities & backyard. Our missionary journey takes us to meet people and their needs right where they are AT! We extend and reach beyond the 4 walls of the church. LBQ’s monthly missions travel across 2 states MO/KS approximately 500 Miles per month and quarterly across the nation into California.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Holy Bible is the Infallible Word of God, Truth, and written by Divine Inspiration. We believe that God has revealed Himself to man throughout the Scriptures. The Bible is a book of Divine instruction.
We believe that there is Only One true and living God. He exists and is revealed as One in Three persons, The Holy Trinity being the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
He is Fatherly in character toward all men. He is All-Powerful, All- Knowing, Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Sovereign.
Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God. We believe He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was crucified, willingly shedding His blood for man’s redemption and for the forgiveness of sins to all who receive the sacrifice and accept Him as personal Lord and Savior. He was crucified, dead, and buried. On the third day He rose from the dead with a glorified body, appeared to His disciples, ascended to heaven, and is now exalted and seated at the right hand of God the Father where He is the One Mediator, bridging reconciliation between God and man-kind. He will return in power, authority and glory to judge the world and to complete His redemptive mission. We believe in the rapture of the church. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever-present Lord.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God (the comforter, the Intercessor, the Strengthener, and Counselor). He guides man to understand truth, and He draws man to the Father. He convicts of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement. He leads and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.
We believe that man was created and formed in the image of God by a unique act of God Himself. Man was created pure and innocent, with a free choice. By man’s choice, sin entered the human race. Thus, the fall came by choosing to follow the temptation of Satan. The redemption of man comes through receiving Christ as a free gift and believing in one’s heart that Jesus died for sins through shedding of His own blood, and receiving and accepting the free gift of Salvation offered to all – “whosoever will”.
We believe in the new birth as a work of God’s grace whereby believers become new creations in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart transformed by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Church is the united Body of Christ in covenant. It consists of all true believers who are associated together by their faith and fellowship of the gospel. The various local churches are smaller entities of the universal body of true believers. The church operates under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and He raises up Pastors, and Leadership. The Pastors are the shepherds of the individual flocks.
We believe in following the example of Christ in water baptism. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, and the believer’s death to sin, burial of the old life, and a resurrection to walk in the newness of life in Jesus Christ. We believe in all scriptural gifts and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Lord’s Supper as a symbolic act of obedience whereby believers in the Body of Christ remember the death of Christ by partaking of bread and fruit of the vine.
We believe that believers should give a tithe, or a tenth, of their total income to the local Church, Body of Christ of which they are a part.
